At my house we make our own cereal bars. Using both the crispy rice and the fruity os mixed with a melted house brand marshmellows we make them for cheaper than store bought. They are even great in the summer as a sandwich with ice cream in between! Now do we know how to have fun at our house?

What is the biggest crispy marshmallow bar ever created?

Hi Mary!
That’s a great question!
The current record with Guinness is as follows:
Largest Cereal Treat:
The largest cereal treat ever made is a Rice Krispies treat made by students of Michigan State University, in conjunction with the MSU Bakery and Puffins Pastry shop weighing 1.5 tonnes (3,500 lb) on 17 October 2002.
In our search for this answer, we uncovered some other amazing cereal treat news:
In 2001 the Friley Hall kitchen at Iowa State University hosted a team of students, faculty and staff who used 818 pounds of Rice cereal, 1,466 pounds of marshmallows, 217 pounds of butter and about 8 hours to create a rice cereal treat that weighed in at a whopping 2,480 pounds! They also passed along their entry to honor to the Guinness Book. To honor them and their cereal treat, Ames Mayor Ted Tedesco and the Ames City Council gave the treat it’s own day on the Ames Calendar in 2003. February 21st to be exact.
Anyone else ready to take on the crispy rice cereal bar record? Let us know!
Best,
MPGodfrey

I make Crispy Marshmallow Bars every week and for quite some time purchased only Malt-o-Meal Crispy Rice at my local WalMart. They suddenly stopped stocking it a couple of years ago and, although I have repeatedly requested that they carry it, I now must buy the OTHER rice! I was told Saturday that you probably have discontinued the Crispy Rice. Since your other cereals is at these stores, can you help return it to Chattanooga, Tennessee WalMart and BiLo??? Thank you
