Crispy Rice Cookie Bars by Melissa Dryer, Claysville, PA

  • 5½ cup Crispy Rice Malt-O-Meal cereal
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 6 oz chocolate chips
  • 6 oz butterscotch chips

Combine sugar and corn syrup in medium sauce pan over low heat. Add peanut butter and stir until smooth. In a large bowl, combine mixture with crispy rice cereal. Immediately spread into 9 x 13 greased pan.

Sprinkle both chocolate and butterscotch chips over top to melt. Spread with butter knife. Let cool for 30 minutes. Cut into bars.
