Heaven Sent Cookies by Kim Reiner Citrus Heights, CA

Servings: Yields approx 6 dozen cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup oil
  • 3¾ cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1½ cup ground walnuts
  • ½ cup sweetened, dried coconut
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1½ cups Malt-O-Meal Honey and Oat Blenders cereal

Procedure:

  1. Cream together softened margarine and both sugars. Add in the egg and vanilla. Slowly add the oil mixing well. In separate bowl, combine the flour, salt and baking soda. Gradually mix the flour mixture into the butter and sugar mixture. Stir in the coconut and walnuts. Add the oats. Gently mix in the Malt-O-Meal Honey and Oat Blenders cereal.
  2. With your hands, form dough into patties and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 325° for 12 minutes. Remove from pan and cool. Store in an air tight container.
