Blonde Bars

Makes 24 bars
Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cups firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 1/3 cups butter or margarine, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 3 cups Malt-O-Meal® Frosted Flakes cereal
- ¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup chopped nuts
Directions
- Heat oven to 375°F.
- In a large bowl. beat brown sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Add cereal, chocolate chips and nuts; mix well.
- Spread into greased 13×9 inch pan. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool completely; cut into bars.
