Blonde Bars

Makes 24 bars

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cups firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/3 cups butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 cups Malt-O-Meal® Frosted Flakes cereal
  • ¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup chopped nuts

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large bowl. beat brown sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Add cereal, chocolate chips and nuts; mix well.
  4. Spread into greased 13×9 inch pan. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
    Cool completely; cut into bars.
